Certification
We realize that we carry a great responsibility on our shoulders. We approach our work accordingly. And so that you too can be sure that you can really trust ZAPA products, we have confirmed it in black and white for you.
We are talking about the introduction and certification of the QMS (Quality Management System) or the Quality Management System according to the requirements of ČSN EN ISO 9001:2016. We obtained the first predecessor of this certificate for our parent concrete plant in Kačerov back in 1995. Now all our concrete plants are proud of its innovative version. However, you do not have to worry that we might be producing lower-quality concrete here. The quality management system is also applied here in practice. However, QMS does not apply only to the concrete plants of ZAPA beton a.s. The concrete plants of our subsidiaries ZAPA UNISTAV, s.r.o. in Brno and EKO ZAPA beton, s.r.o. in Zábřeh also have similar certificates.
And what does such a certificate cover? Its scope includes the production, transport and placement of ready-mixed concrete, the production of cast screeds, the production of pre-dimensioned mortar mixtures for masonry, special purposes and plasters.
Based on initial tests of concrete processed by accredited testing laboratories and further on the independent assessment of production management systems by authorized persons, our facilities have also issued declarations of conformity of products according to the requirements of Government Regulation No. 163/2002 Coll. as amended. And our concrete plants have also assessed conformity according to the requirements of the applicable legislation in the category of CE marked products, which in our business area includes mortars, cast screeds and aggregates. In short, we simply meet the statutory requirements to the letter.
In 2015, the first QMS certification according to ČSN EN ISO 9001:2009 was also carried out for all facilities of the Sand Quarries and Quarries Division producing aggregates.
ZAPA beton a.s. strives not only to maintain, but also to continuously improve the quality management system. The safety and satisfaction of our customers with the products and services offered are the main priorities of our company.
The result of our efforts is concrete plants that are environmentally friendly and friendly to employees. And that, as they say, we do not lie to anyone, is also proven by some of the awards and certificates that our concrete plants have received. For example, the plant in Olomouc-Holice became the most environmentally friendly concrete plant in the Czech Republic in 1999. The excellent environmental protection is also evidenced by the EMS certificate (environmental management system), which is held by the concrete plants in Hranice, Kladno and Středokluká and, newly since 2015, by the concrete plants in Hulín, Praha Kačerov and Praha Písnice. In 2017, the EMS certification was extended to 22 plants in the Bohemia region and 23 plants in the Moravia region. In 2018, this EMS certification was reassessed by the certification body according to the requirements of the currently valid ČSN EN ISO 14001:2016.
The company also has an energy management system (EnMS) in place at all of its concrete plants in the Bohemia and Moravia region and sand pit and quarry operations in accordance with the requirements of ČSN EN ISO 50001:2019, where it strives to reduce the energy intensity of the realization of its products and seeks further opportunities to increase energy efficiency, thereby contributing to reducing environmental impact and reducing production costs - thus being able to offer its products to customers at more favorable prices. The company also obtained the EnMS certificate (energy management system) in 2016, which applies to all concrete plants in the Bohemia and Moravia region and aggregate production plants.
The company defined its QMS, EMS and EnMS policy in the form of a statement by the area directors, which it applies to all of its operations.
